Sage Vaughn is an artist I came across in a shoe campaign for Vans shoes. Such beautiful work. However with this artist, I think I acutally like his images of children better than the birds. I love how the art is beautiful to look at, but has a message of distruction, mess, and the innocent.
Paul Humphrey is one of my new favorite artists. You have to go to his site, I just couldn't put all the images I like up here.
This is truely my new favorite artist, and definaltly one I will be checking up on often. Blaine Fontana is a very talented and remarkable artist. He also has a true vision that I simply adore. My favorite works are his newer mixed media pieces, but his paintings are amazing as well, and also show a different style of his.
Beatriz Milhazes is an amazing Brazilian artist, whose work is mostly paintings, with some paintings mixed with collage. They are simply fantastic. I think it's about time the school needed a new mural, don't ya think, Beatriz style!!
Deborah Fisher is a fantastic artist who has such smart compositions, using collage and image transfers. I love her birds of course.
Michael A Gromma is fantastic! Technically a painter, but uses printmaking techniques with photography and collage and everything else. Go to this link which has an interview as well.
Raghava KK is a fantastic printmaker. I love these prints/drawings colors, designs, and use of empty space. Not to mention I love the content and subject matter. Ryan Seslow is another printmaker who has content and subject matter I really enjoy. His use of bright playful colors, and his idea of small viewed as a whole really caught my attention. His Flicker site has a lot of great images as well.
Geraldine Georges is currently my favorite artist. Her work is so creative and evoking. I get pulled in from all the curving lines and free-flowing patterns. Soooo great.
This work is by artist Anahata Katin who's journal pages are my faorite. I love her additions of feehand pen work in combination with the collage. So Art Nouveau! Artist Mary Emma Hawthorne has popped up in several of my searches, and I think she's great. Her work is airy and light, which is why the bird is so appropriate.
